For his work on the Oskar Fischer Prize, an initiative to engage the world’s brightest minds in a comprehensive literature review with the goal of synthesizing that information into one explanation for the cause of Alzheimer’s disease.
George Perry is the former Dean of the College of Sciences, Semmes Distinguished University Chair in Neurobiology, Chief Scientist of the Brain Health Consortium, and Professor of Biology and Chemistry at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He is one of the top Alzheimer’s disease researchers with over 1000 publications, one of the top 100 most-cited scientists in Neuroscience & Behavior, and one of the top 25 scientists in free radical research.
